The types of wood that he uses range from the traditional such as mahogany, sycamore and lignum vitae to the more unusual satinwood, zebrano and snakewood. All the timber comes from sustainable sources in either Europe or developing countries. Tim works with leather, precious metals and stones too, mixing materials to create unique statement pieces. For instance a dining room table with an American black walnut veneered top, laser-cut metal construction base and ebony stringing. Another example of a luxurious mix of materials is a bespoke kitchen made for one client: flamed brazilian mahogany was mixed with maple and a shivakazi granite worktop to give an exclusive, modern look. Everything is hand-made by Tim's team of forty craftsmen and every project will result in a unique bespoke finish.
